Kappa Omega is the local chapter of educators in the South Texas town of Del Rio. We serve our community by providing scholarships to graduating high school seniors who will be majoring in education. The chapter also provides scholarships for members who are pursuing additional certifications or post graduate studies. We participate in service projects that benefit the children of our town. In 2010-11, we adopted the counseling center in town that serves many of our students. We provided activities, tools, and money to aid in their work. During the 2011-12 year, we adopted the Pathways Chidren's Shelter. We provided gifts at Christmas and new spring clothing in May. Each year we look to see where there is a need and then try to meet it.
